Health Insurance – What It Is and How It Works

	NOW when someone gets sick, the money is there to pay the bills.

	BUT, you don't feel like negotiating rates with the doctor when you are sick or feeling ill.

	AND, you don't really want to worry about paying medical bills while you are recovering.

	So you hire the insurance company to take care of this for you as well (called ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES).

	The agreement to do this is called a HEALTH INSURANCE POLICY.

You only have to look at your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from the insurance company to see how much you would have had to pay (if it hadn’t been written off) to know how valuable their negotiating power is.
